The Next Step

The cameras in LightWave are as powerful as the software’s modeling tools. When you model, you create shapes and animate them. When you animate, your motions create a mood, and without the proper camera angles, your work will not be as powerful. Practice setting up different types of shots. Load some of the scenes from your LightWave directory that installed when you loaded the program. Study the camera angles used there and try creating your own. Use reference books from real-world situations, mimic the cinematography in movies, and most importantly, experiment. Hopefully this chapter got you thinking about the cameras in LightWave and the shots you can create and animate.
