Global Illumination

The space around you, whether that space is at your desk, in your living room, or outside, has global luminosity properties. The following global properties—Global Light Intensity, Global Lens Flare Intensity, Ambient Light, Ambient Color, Radiosity, and Caustics—can be controlled in the Global Illumination panel. You can find the Global Illumination panel under the Lights tab in Layout. Figure 7.4 shows the panel.

Figure 7.4. The Global Illumination panel, found under the Lights tab in Layout, is where you can control such properties as Global Light Intensity, Global Lens Flare Intensity, Ambient Light, Ambient Color, Radiosity, and Caustics.
