Q&A

Q1: I added an object to the library myself. Every time I try to make it larger, it loses quality. What's going on?
A1: The object you added is probably a raster rather than vector graphic. Raster graphics distort when you try to modify them, especially when you attempt to make them larger. With raster objects, you'll be limited in your modification choices by the file's original dimensions. If you want to be able to have maximum control and visual clarity, create and/or add vector objects.
Q2:I want to apply a shape to only one layer. How do I do this?
A2: You can't. Each time you apply a shape, LiveMotion automatically creates a new layer. If you use Replace, all the layers are replaced by the new shape.
Q3:I have two objects in my composition. They are positioned perfectly! I want to save them as one object. What do I do?
A3: Use the Combine feature (see Hour 4, “Combining, Grouping, and Editing Objects”) to combine the objects into a single object and then save it to the library. You can always undo this action after you've saved the object.
