Q&A

Q1: I'm double-clicking on an object. Why isn't its Timeline opening?
A1: This problem is occurring because you haven't made the object in question into a movie clip. After you've done that, the Timeline for that movie clip will open.
Q2:I applied Transformations to a movie clip from the composition Timeline. Why aren't they showing up independently?
A2: If you'd like Transformation properties to be available throughout the movie clip's duration, you'll need to first make that movie clip into a group, and then modify the Transformation properties of the group.
Q3:I have two grouped objects and I'd like to make them a grouped movie clip. What's the fastest way to do this?
A3: With your group selected, choose Object, Movie Clip from the main menu, or click the Make Movie Clip button in the Timeline. Note that if the objects are first grouped, there is no need to step through the movie clip grouping process; simply make the group a movie clip, and it will be treated as a movie clip group.
