About Movie Clips

In LiveMotion 2.0, movie clips replace the LiveMotion 1.0 concept of time-independent animation. The idea is to allow designers to have certain portions of a composition remain animated according to their own timeline, which is contained in some fashion within the main animation timeline but is not dependent on it in order to run.

By creating movie clips, you are essentially nesting an animation into the primary animation. A movie clip can contain anything a primary animation can: states (such as with rollovers), interactivity, and scripts.
