Q&A

Q1: I downloaded a photo in GIF format and brought it into LiveMotion. I want to make it larger, but it keeps getting blurry. How can I fix this?
A1: Unless you can get an uncompressed or larger version of the file, you won't be able to make it larger without this loss in quality. GIF files are bitmapped (raster) graphics and do not contain the mathematical information that enables you to make them larger without loss of integrity.
Q2:I'm trying to place a graphic into LiveMotion, but I keep getting an error saying that this file format is unsupported. What can I do to bring this file into LiveMotion?
A2: Find an application that allows you to open the format. You can then attempt to copy and paste or drag and drop the graphic into LiveMotion. If that doesn't work, try saving the file in a familiar format (see Appendix C) and then placing the file. This should do the trick.
Q3:I've scanned a photo, but the scan has lots of flecks and speckles that I don't see in the photo itself. What's wrong?
A3: You've probably got some dust on the photo or the scanner bed that's being picked up in the process. Use compressed air (available at most office and art supply stores) to clean the photo, and follow your scanner manufacturer's cleaning instructions to ensure that the scanner bed is free of dust. Scan again for better results.
