Importing Your Art

After you've prepped your art or photos, or found objects for scanning, you'll want to scan them into an image program such as Photoshop, using the Import feature. Alternatively, you can use your scanner's imaging software (or other software) to capture your image.

Your scanner must offer a Photoshop-compatible plug-in or TWAIN-compatible interfaces to make use of Photoshop's Import feature. (TWAIN is a cross-platform interface used to manage digital image captures from scanners, cameras, and other devices.) Otherwise, you'll need to scan the element, save it using your scanner's own software, and then place it into LiveMotion using the Place command (see “Placing Graphic Files,” later in this hour).
