Alignment and Distribution

Alignment is the act of positioning more than one object so that it is properly lined up against a particular axis. You can align objects along the vertical or horizontal axis, and you can also align the objects along specific points on each individual axis.

Distributing objects is the act of adding an even amount of space between all objects along an axis. So let's say that you have three objects lined up next to one another. Distributing them positions them so that they are exactly the same amount of space apart from each other.
