Q&A

Q1: I saved a custom style to the palette. Then I improved it. Can I replace the old style with the updated, new style?
A1: Sure! To do this, save the new style to the Styles folder with the same name as the old file. This overwrites the old file, and the new style is now available in its place.
Q2:How many layers can I apply to my style?
A2: The total layer limit for styles reflects the limit for the original objects from which they are derived, which is anywhere from 1 to 99.
Q3:I love the design on one of the preset styles' object layer. I want to apply only that layer's attributes to a new object. Can I do it?
A3: You can if it's a texture (see Hour 10). Make sure that the new object is open. Then select the object that contains the layer with the texture you like. In the Object Layers palette, select and drag that layer to your new object. The texture is now applied to the object.
