Chapter 18. Reactor Dynamics: Collision ... > Using Reactor to Simulate Collision ...

Using Reactor to Simulate Collision Detection

In this section, you'll work with a scene containing the airplane you created previously, which is circling a hangar, with, of all things, a pig suspended from its belly. Boxes are piled at the end of the runway. There is also a flagpole holding a flag made of what looks like a sheet of plywood with an imaginary country's emblem painted on it.

You'll learn to use the Reactor in 3ds max 7 to easily create animations that would be extremely difficult to accomplish manually. The pig will fall from the plane and topple the boxes, and the flag will flap lazily in the breeze.
