Animation in 3ds max 7 is fundamentally a simple and straightforward process called keyframing. This term derives from traditional hand-drawn cartoons, in which a master animator drew only the key positions of the character in the scenes. Then junior animators drew all of the positions in between, so that when the series of images was played back, it appeared as though the scene was moving.
