Planning Your Workflow

Before you dive into building a project, it's a good idea to have a plan. Over the next series of exercises, you'll learn many time-saving techniques that can help you become more efficient in building complex layered projects.

The final version of the project you're creating here includes two rows of still photographs moving across the screen in opposite directions. One time-saving technique for creating this element is to use a single still object to represent all of the other photographs in the build. By duplicating one still and using it as a placeholder, you can copy, align, and group all of the still objects without using the actual media files. Then you can easily replace the media with the actual stills to complete your build.
