Chapter 13. Working with Text > Formatting Text with the Inspector

Formatting Text with the Inspector

Although the Dashboard makes it easy to change many critical text parameters, the Text tab of the Inspector contains all the parameters of the selected text object. These parameters are separated into three different panes: the Format pane, the Style pane, and the Layout pane (Figure 13.10). The Format pane contains basic controls such as Font, Size, and Tracking. The Style pane controls the Fill, Opacity, and Blur of the Face, Outline, Glow, and Drop Shadow of text objects. The Layout pane includes layout controls such as Alignment, Justification, and the option to place the type on a path.
