Using Basic Motion and Simulation Behaviors with Text Objects

Although the Text Animation and Text Sequence behaviors are designed specifically to animate text, you can use the other behaviors on text objects as well. The Basic Motion and Simulation behaviors work with text almost the same way they work on other objects (discussed in Chapter 6), but because text is made up of individual characters, behaviors that normally only affect other objects (such as Attract, Repel, and Vortex) affect the individual characters in a text object—which can create some interesting effects.

To apply a Basic Motion or Simulation behavior to a text object:
