Chapter 13. Working with Text > Using the Sequence Behavior

Using the Sequence Behavior

With the Sequence behavior, you choose parameters to animate, and the animation occurs on each letter at a different point in time—in other words, the animation sequences through the text. You can animate any of the Format and Style parameters that have an animation menu such as Rotation, Color, Size, Outline Width, or Drop Shadow Distance, as well as the Position parameter from the Properties tab. You can change how the animation sequences through the text object—for example, forward, backward, or randomly.

Once you create a custom sequence animation, you can save it as a preset in the Library for future use. In fact, all of the behaviors in the Sequence Behavior category are just that—customized Sequence behaviors.
