Chapter 13. Working with Text > Modifying Text Style

Modifying Text Style

The Text Style pane in the Text tab of the Inspector contains parameters for controlling the Fill, Color, Opacity, and Blur of the text Face. You can also add an Outline, a Glow, and a Drop Shadow, and adjust the parameters for each. And you can change the look of the text by filling it with a gradient, an image, or even a movie.

The Style tab’s parameters are divided into four text attributes: Face, Outline, Glow, and Drop Shadow (Figure 13.16). Text Style Presets, discussed in “Previewing and Applying Text Styles” earlier in this chapter, are available from this pane. You can choose to make an attribute visible, adjust its parameters, and reset the parameters. Any parameter with an Animation menu icon (the dash on the far right) can be animated with keyframes or behavior parameters.
