Applying Filters to Shapes

Filters can be applied to shapes in the same manner as they are applied to other objects. What is unique about shapes is that they remain editable after the filter is applied, so you can continue to adjust and modify the shape while observing the effect of the filter (Figure 12.26).

Figure 12.26. Even with a filter such as the Pixelate filter above applied to a shape, you can manipulate the shape’s control points.
