Appendix A. Editing Project Properties

Appendix A. Editing Project Properties

Every time you create a project, Motion assigns a set of universal properties such as the codec you will be working in, the frame size, and the duration. You can choose from a list of presets when you first create a project, and you can go back and change these properties at anytime. For example, you may decide you want your project to be longer than what you first anticipated. Or, you may want to change the background color.

Editing these properties is quick and easy via the Project Properties pane. And, if you find that you are regularly changing certain properties of a preset, it’s a simple matter to create your own custom preset for future projects. You can even assign a default preset so that when you open a new project Motion assigns it automatically and you can get right to work.
