Chapter 7. Animating with Keyframes > Saving Keyframed Parameters

Saving Keyframed Parameters

Once you have carefully created the perfect animation by keyframing the parameters of an object and changing the keyframe interpolation by modifying the curves, you may want to save all your work so that you can apply the same animated parameter to a different object. You can accomplish this goal via two different methods.

First, you can either save the object itself into the Library, and all of the animated keyframes (as well as any other applied effects and masks) will be saved along with it. You can then add this object to a new project, and exchange the object itself with a new object, keeping the keyframes and other effects intact (the Exchange edit process is described in “Drag and Drop Editing” in Chapter 5).
