Real-Time Design

Real-Time Design

The most dramatic difference between Motion and After Effects is the real-time design engine built into Motion. With it, you'll be able to perform many of the tasks you do on a daily basis in After Effects, but without having to render a RAM preview.

A suggested workflow for creating motion graphics with Motion and After Effects is to begin in Motion, playing with various elements and coming up with design concepts for the project you're working on. Once you've figured out how you want things to flow, you can move into After Effects to make use of its extended tool set to create the basic elements for your final comp. As a last step, you can bring these prerendered elements back into Motion for real-time manipulation, color correction, and final tweaks in real time in front of the client.
