Lesson 1. A Tour of Motion > Deactivating Behaviors and Filters

Deactivating Behaviors and Filters

No doubt you've already started to throw on other filters and behaviors in a frenzy of experimentation. Go ahead, give them all a whirl. Just one thing before we leave you to it: Once you've thrown 20 behaviors on an object, here's how to turn some of them off.

1.
Press F5 to open the Project pane.

2.
In the Layers tab, uncheck the box for the Throw behavior to deactivate it.

The center butterfly is no longer “thrown” offscreen. All of the filters and behaviors can be deactivated by clicking their respective check boxes here in the Layers tab.

3.
Click the Throw behavior in the Layers tab to select it.

4.
Press Delete. The Throw behavior is now completely removed from the layer.

5.
Press Cmd-Z (for Undo).

Your command to delete the Throw is undone and the Throw returns to the Layers tab.
