Navigating Viewports

Viewport navigation buttons allow you to look around a scene by manipulating the viewports. Each of the three sets of viewport navigation buttons appears automatically to match the view in the active viewport:

  • Viewport Navigation Controls allow you to navigate axonometric views, including Front, Back, Left, Right, Top, Bottom, and User views (Figure 3.44). In Perspective views, the controls are the same except for the Region Zoom button, which changes to Field-of-View control (Figure 3.45).

  • Camera Viewport Controls manipulate Cameras and Camera views. They are similar to the controls for Perspective views (Figure 3.46).

  • Light Viewport Controls are used for manipulating spotlights and directional lights as well as the views seen from those lights. They are similar to the controls for Camera views (Figure 3.47).
