Adjusting Curvature

The manipulation of shapes, and splines in general, is all about controlling curvature. Curvature controls are a property of vertices that control the curvature of neighboring segments. Because segments cannot bend more than 2° between steps, the number of steps in each segment governs the smoothness of its curve.

You adjust the curvature of segments by moving vertices, moving vertex controls, or converting to different vertex types:
