Chapter 13. Creating Materials

Materials control how objects reflect and transm it light. They paint your scene with color, luminosity, transparency, and translucency, and they give objects their final finish: shiny or dull, glossy or matte, solid or wireframe, faceted or smooth (Figure 13.1).
