Keyframes

We'll use keyframes to ensure that this position will be saved. These keyframes are nothing more than saved information about an object at a definite point in time. You can specify what information should be saved in a keyframe. For this, use the small icons at the lower-right corner of the layout. There you'll find miniature Move, Rotate, and Scale icons, as well as other icons whose functions you will learn about later. You can activate or deactivate these icons by clicking them.

In our case, we need just the information that relates to position for the Target object. Deactivate all the icons except the small Move icon. Now you need to specify the point in time for which the information should be saved. For this we have the Time Manager with its time bar, which you'll find just to the left of the little keyframe icon. Set this to 0 F. This way, upon recording, the keyframe will be placed directly at the beginning of our animation, namely in Frame 0. Now activate one of the moved Null objects and click the small red dot by the keyframe symbol. You have just recorded a position keyframe for the Target object for the point in time 0 F. Click the next already moved Target object and record another keyframe by clicking the red dot again. Repeat this for the last Target object.
