Chapter 8. AcquireImages > Drag-and-drop

Drag-and-drop

Any file that can be acquired via the Place or Paste command can also be acquired via the drag-and-drop method. There are many ways to use drag-and-drop:

  • Drag-and-drop an object or objects from one LiveMotion window into another LiveMotion window (Figs. 12).

    Figure 8.19.

  • Drop an object from an open document window in another application right on top of a LiveMotion object. The dropped image will replace the existing object.

  • Drop text from another application into a LiveMotion composition window. It will become a new image object (not a text object). Text from Microsoft Word version 98 or later will drop as a text object.

  • Drop a LiveMotion file icon from the Desktop into an open LiveMotion composition window. The composition you drag and drop will be placed as a group.

  • Drag-and-drop a LiveMotion object into another application (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or Microsoft Word).
